From now on when posting an item request, please link to www.ffxiah.com.

To do this you will need to go to ffxiah.com and get some info first:

When you get there you will see a search bar on the left, should look like this.

Enter the name of the item you are looking for in the item search box. I have used Noble's Tunic as an example. Then hit go!

You should now be at the page of the item you want!

Now all you need is to copy the the url!

Once you have done this you can paste the url into the url tags like so

The following is some examples of what it should look like when done, I threw the images in for fun, if you know how to do that, then by all means knock yourself out. But I will not require it from everyone.

Remember the tags are

[url=http://]Item name[/url]

A normal url looks like this: (Example) Nobles Tunic w/o the server id. [&sid]
http://www.ffxiah.com/item.php?id=12605

Please add "&sid=5" to the end of every url, it will show the prices on the Pheonix Server.

Hover over link to get full item details.

I know this seems like a lot of extra work, but look how nice and informative it looks.
If you really want an item this will help players understand what you need a lot more then just "Yeah, hey guys I really need a noble's tunic could you help me out?"

I hope no one has an issue with the request. Going forward, if I notice a post asking for items without this format, I will delete them! I don't think this is too much to ask for. I also ask that the mods back me up on this one as well. It can get hard keeping track of these things.

This does look really snazzy, but im confused a bit, is this for a kind of "Wish Lish"?

NO/YES I want people who post items for any reason to use the links when posting items. The images not so much. They just look prettier.

Remember this thread is for people looking for help obtaining certain items. Albeit rare or expensive.
So if they need an NM to obtain it or a crafter to make it, this is how I want it to look.

Gotcha, we can also think about making this into a profile idea as well. Display the gear we have, along with out stats etc. (Just an idea) We could push all the Intros into one post and remake the other one into a profile for display only, no commets.

Let's just start here and see how everyone adapts to it first. If we can get everyone doing this, then yes I may consider adding it to user profiles.

I think this is a lot to ask. People without much web experience or forum experience will get confused, even following guide. I'll support it though.
